Your comment, “if we are going to be educators then we must prepare our students for life outside school” is so true. I can’t believe in this day and age that we have so many classroom teachers that don’t or can’t integrate technology in their classrooms.

I read this article as well, and found it just as interesting. I agree, the real benefits of using technology (and the internet in particular) in the classroom are the collaborative aspects.

I agree Bianca … in some countries such as the US and here, the ‘digital divide’ is a less serious problem. However, does this new ‘digital culture’ provide a complete rationale for using new learning technologies in K-6? I like some of your suggestions (eg. ‘celebration’ of kids’ products!) but is ‘Maths Computer Tutor’ really emancipative software for young Maths learners? Congrats. on both your podcast and follow-up vodcast too!
